A dairy-free and gluten-free beverage that's spicy and refreshing.


  • 2 cups Graindrops Original


  • 2 cups water
  • 3 teaspoons loose leaf black tea
  • 2 tablespoons fresh minced ginger
  • 4 whole cloves
  • dash of nutmeg
  • 6 whole green cardamom pods
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 4 whole black peppercorns


Black tea can be substituted with loose leaf green tea (less caffeine), or no tea at all for a non-caffeinated version.


Step 1
Combine all ingredients (except for Graindrops Plain probiotic grainmilk) in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Strain mixture through coffee filter or strainer.
Step 3
Add 2 cups of Graindrops Plain probiotic grainmilk. For a cold drink, wait until the chai tea has cooled before adding Graindrops.
Step 4
Serve hot or cold over ice. Enjoy!
